Notes

Apparently these cuts are from the original Glyn Johns productions/mixes of what was intended to be the "Get Back" album before it was shelved and eventually given to Phil Spector to produce (the only non-George Martin produced Beatle record) and which eventually emerged as "Let It Be".

Black Vinyl, black disc labels. Predominantly black sleeve with primitive drawing of the Fab Four in Gray outline/Green fill to the front, white rear with tracklist in black.

Album

The final Beatles album was first released on 8th May, 1970, just prior to the launch of the cinema film of the same name. Rehearsals and recording sessions for the album had taken place in January, 1969 first At Twickenham Film Studios and later in the basement and on the roof of their Apple headquarters in London's Savile Row. A second single from the album, which was now titled Let It Be appeared on 6th March. Up to now the idea behind the album had been to capture the group live in the studio without overdubs or effects but this changed when producer, Phil Spector was brought in to re-produce the tracks. Текст песни: When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom: Let it be. Let It Be is the twelfth and final studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. It was released on 8 May 1970, almost a month after the group's break-up, in tandem with the motion picture of the same name. Like most of the band's previous releases, the album topped record charts in many countries, including both the US and the UK. However, the critical response was generally unfavourable, and Let It Be came to be regarded as one of the most controversial rock albums ever. Its difficult to review Let It Be. Naked without drowning in the welter of vexed issues that shattered the Beatles. For a start, Naked is being hyped in a musical nod to the directors cut as the bands take - that is, the stripped-down version of the album the Beatles intended to make as they embarked on what was then thought of as Get Back in 1969. This notion, of course, is ridiculous. But here, on the other hand, is Lennons assessment of Spectors work on Let It Be: He was given the shittiest load of badly recorded shit with a lousy feeling to it ever, and he made something out of it. He did a great job. Phil Collins Another Day In in album The Beatles - Let It Be Other Mixes 2008. The Beatles - I'm Dig A Pygmy. The Beatles - Two Of Us. The Beatles - Dig A Pony. Album 1970 13 Songs. Conceived by McCartney as an effort to reclaim the bands marital groove, Let It Be presented The Beatles not as an elaborate studio art project but as four guys making music together in a room. P-PCS 's remaster sounds significantly better than the original album and I can see why he did this. He's stripped away a lot of Spector's unnecessary indulgences and mixed the album so that it sounds like you're in the room with the band while they were playing. Let It Be - Naked largely resolves these issues and is a good statement of what the Beatles were trying to achieve after the White Album and before Abbey Road which, apart from I Me Mine, is the order the three albums were recorded even though Let It Be was released after Abbey Road. The Beatles final single prior to the 1990s Anthology releases, Let It Be was also the title track of the last album of their career. The song was written during the sessions for the White Album, at a time when Paul McCartney felt isolated as the only member of The Beatles still keen to keep the group together. His enthusiasm and belief had kept them going after the death of Brian Epstein, but increasingly he found the others at odds with his attempts to motivate them
